The Universe With The Naked Eye Northern hemisphere observers can look south once it gets properly dark to see the 'bowtie
shape of Orion. His sword hangs below his belt and looks like three faint stars. Take a peek at the middle of these three through your binoculars to see the Orion Nebula, a vast starforming region.
