Some Favorite Autumn Stars and Why The Stars Change With The Seasons

One of the trademarks of the fall sky is the Great Square of Pegasus, which is almost directly overhead a few hours after sunset.

Another sign of autumn is Taurus the bull, which hosts an additional visitor this fall, the ringed giant Saturn. Just above Taurus is the Pleaides star cluster, also known as 'the Seven Sisters'.

The Pleiades is a spectacular treat for any stargazer, filled with hot young blue stars. A pair of binoculars will reveal many of these stars.
