aid for exploring the heavens...a superb, well documented program that
will transform you into an expert in no time. "There are few experiences as invigorating as being out in the countryside standing under a canopy of star on a still night. Starry Night conveys that feeling better than any other desktop planetarium" --New York Times |
StarGazer Celebrate National Astronomy Day On Saturday April 28th! And The Moon Pays A Last Visit To Saturn and Jupiter There is a plethora of interesting things in the Western sky after dark on Mrch 25. Look for Jupiter, Saturn , a frist quarter moon, the Pleiades star cluster and the constellation Orion. The next night finds the moon has moved higher in the sky, up and to the left of Jupiter. After coming very close together back in January, Jupiter and Saturn are now moving apart. This shows their path through Taurus in 2001. Click here to see a QuickTime movie (1 MB) of this motion.
