"There are few experiences as invigorating as being out in the countryside standing under a canopy of star on a still night. Starry Night conveys that feeling better than any other desktop planetarium"
--New York Times

Spring Right In Your Face! And The Last Good Moon/Jupiter/Saturn Get-Together

The sun crosses the celestial equator twice every year-on the vernal and autumnal equinoxes, when day and night are both 12 hours long. The sun is farthest from the celestial equator on the longest day of the year (summer solstice) and the shortest day of the year (winter solstice).

On March 20, the vernal equinox, the sun rises EXACTLY East, and sets EXACTLY West.

Get outside just after sunset between March 26 and March 29 to see a crescent moon near Jupiter and Saturn.
